Joe Lieberman
With all due respect, I'd like to give my opinion. I live in CT which means that Joe Lieberman is our Senator. Years ago, when Joe first ran for the Senate, he ran against Lowell Weicker. I had never before nor have I since saw someone run a nastier campaign than Joe did. That's just an add-on but it has nothing to do with what's going on now. Here's a big reason Joe may not win. I've never heard this in the media but many CT residents know it and are upset about it. From the time that Al Gore chose Joe as his running mate until 4 years later when he bowed out of the presidential race, he travelled the country campaigning. He was absent way too much from Washington for 4 full years. How many of us can take tons of time off work for 4 years and still get paid and not get called upon for it? Every week, I check the paper and read about the bills that get passed and how each of our senators and representatives vote. Week after week, for long stretches of time, I would read next to Leiberman's name - O - which meant no vote. THAT ticks me off as well as many other residents of CT. As far as the war is concerned, Joe Lieberman wrote an editoral in our local paper speaking about how the world is better off without Saddam, the progress we've made and how right we are to be there. He wrote that at least two years after the war began. He has also chosen not to call upon the president to explain the wiretaps, saying it would be a waste of time. I thought of re-registering as a democrat just so I could vote this BOZO out of there. I pray to God he's gone tomorrow.
