9/11 Pictures
The day after 9/11, our local newspaper, showed a large photo of a man falling to his death. The picture was extremely clear and the man was easily recognizable. That one picture affected me more than anything else.
I couldn't stop thinking about that poor man's family and about how his mom or his wife may have opened their newspaper and seen that same photo. I can't think of anything more heartbreaking.
I don't normally believe in censorship but I do believe in respect for the families. I don't feel any close-up photos of people leaping to their deaths should have been printed. That picture still haunts me.
