Child safety

A couple of years ago, I was at a local church fair and this woman comes walking down the hill with one of those strollers that are almost like a little hammock. There are no straps to hold them. I don't know what if they have a special name. This baby was tops 3 months and should have been in a proper carrier as this thing was clearly not for younger babies. My friend and I saw it coming. The baby fell right out and smacked her (his) little head on the cement. The mother freaked but WTF? Can you get any dumber? It was the kind of fall that at that young age, I would think it could do some serious damage. The ambulance came pretty quick but my friend and I were very upset about it.

Whenever I babysat or was around my nieces and nephews, I was always super cautious. Your S-I-L and hubby are in desperate need of parenting class. Also, I agree with having your boys wear life jackets because even though they can swim, if (God forbid) they had to be in the water for any length of time, they would need it.
